Many are failing.
Other than Start up, large companies like Dyson and Apple have suspended its plan for EV
There has been favourable govemenment policy supporting EV sales.
82b$ sales of tesla in US. Sales has slowdowned but forecast is optimistic as there is the room of EV for bus, aircraft etc
5b$ carbon credit in tesla, which other automobile comapny has to buy.
However return on capita is not attractive. Telsa's one is negative.
In general, even 2b$ is not enough for autobmoble busimness meaning it requires huge amount of capital. To raise money, only way is using SPAC as no investor can raise capital
The way to set up business is vertical integration or outsourcing (less flexible).
Now is like the early years of auto industry when there were a lot of small comapnies
